Slayin’ is an awesome game, but after a while it can get quite dull doing the same thing over and over again, especially if you get stuck on certain bosses. Here are some awesome tips n’ tricks to help you beat the game!
Stick To One Side
This may sound stupid, but sometimes sticking to one side really helps. If you’re losing life, by staying on the left/right you’ll only have to defend one side of yourself. However, although it can be helpful, don’t stay on one side the entire time. You’ll need to upgrade at one point, so it’s always good to make the trip across to get some gold!
Buy ‘The Knave’
The Knave is by far one of the best characters you can get, especially if you’re a beginner to the game. You’re protected on both sides by double knives, and although you can’t buy armour, you can equip a coat that increases your luck. More money! In fact, almost all the Knave’s weapons are based around getting more money, which is always a plus!
Buy Cheap Weapons Earlier
Just like the first tip, this might sound stupid, but I can assure you it’s not. Most people think that by saving up your coins, you’ll be able to get all the awesome weapons sooner. They’re only partially right (sorry). If you wait for the cool weapons to come for you by buying nothing but meat and armour, then it’ll take longer for the higher-level weapons to become available, but by buying weapons sooner, the new weapons unlock quicker. Did you know there’s a weapon that shoots lighting from the sky?!
Peloria Strategy
The first time I fought Peloria, I lost so much life, and that’s not just because I’m awful at the game. It’s because I didn’t know how to fight her. Well, you won’t make my mistakes! The first thing you’ll need to know is that you can destroy those spiky plants with your weapons. Yes, even the ones Peloria shoots! I didn’t know that, so I just assumed I couldn’t. If you time your jumps right, you can destroy the projectile and deal Peloria some damage. It looks awesome in slow motion!
The Wizard Is Worth It
Seriously. I’m not joking. No, he can’t jump. Yes, when starting off you can only make a whirlwind for about 0.5 seconds, but when I bought the wizard, I beat the Royal Slime with a no damage bonus. I’ve never done that ever. As well as beating the most annoying boss, you also get some awesome spells, like fire balls! And ice shards! And fire whirlwinds! The list could go on! But it won’t, sorry.
